I'm having trouble with adding and deleting items from the shopping cart. How do you make it work right?
To add additional items to your shopping cart, use the back button on your browser to return to the last page you visited and navigate from there.
If you use the "continue shopping " button, you will get an error. Don't know why, it just does. (We use a secure shopping cart system, so it's not our code and we don't know how to fix it.) Don't worry too much about how the cart looks while you are shopping.
When you are ready to check out, look over your
order and change any quantities that aren't right. This is the important part...hit the RECALCULATE button at the bottom left of the page. Your cart should update and now you can hit the "checkout" button on
the bottom right of the page. Now wasn't that easy?
Do I have to pay for items before you ship them?
Yes, you do.
How soon will you ship my order out?
After we confirm payment (your credit card clears, paypal clears, or we receive your money order) we
usually ship within 3 business days. Sometimes it may be sooner, sometimes it may be a day later. We do our best to ship as quickly as possible. You are encouraged to order far enough in advance to meet your deadlines with your own candle making projects. For example... if you have a show
coming up in 1 week, you may be cutting it close. Planning ahead will save you worrying about time issues.
How will my order be shipped?
For all orders larger than a few 1 ounce scents, we ship Fedex Ground. Unless you are international, and then we use the carrier that will
work best for your location. Smaller orders are shipped via mail. We have noticed that when we ship to a business location, orders tend to arrive more quickly.
How do I know if my order has shipped?
You recieve a confirmation email as soon as we receive your order. Take
it on faith from here that unless we don't get your payment (and we'll let you know if we don't) that your order will arrive within 10 business days, most likely sooner. We do not send shipping confirmations. (We're working on a software upgrade for this, so in future we will offer it.)
How is the best way to contact you?
Your best bet is to send an email to us at order@brookstoneCandles.com. You may also send us a fax at 501-632-9944. If you choose to phone us, please be aware that we are on Mountain time and if you call at 6:00am, nobody is going to answer. I
guarantee it! Remember, phoning us is not the best way to reach us. Email is.
How much fragrance concentrate do I use?
For candles, use 1/2 ounce of fragrance per pound of wax or gel. That's about a Tablespoon, give or take. If you are doing soaps or lotions, you will have to add the amount that you like best.
My candles have a dip in the center. How can I fix this?
Unless you are using the Superior Soft wax, you will have to save enough melted wax to do a second pouring to fill in the dip. This is really normal and a characteristic
of a higher melt point wax.
Your scents are so good! Why are your prices lower than everyone else?
We think making candles should be fun and affordable for everyone. You deserve to have the same great supplies that the pros use, especially
if you are making candles to sell. We could charge a lot more for these oils, but we want your candlemaking business to suceed, and sometimes being a little guy means being on a budget. We've been there! Besides that, we aren't greedy! LOL We don't want all the business....just yours.
